Kaleidoscope

I recently got this skirt from the Topshop sale, and I'm totally loving the myriad of colours it has. I've been having a fetish for crazy prints + bright colours, and I suppose that's just my way of celebrating the summer season. I'm wearing the skirt with my cold shoulder top and boots from Korea and silver clutch from H&M.

On a side note, the Great Singapore Sale has started, and I really need to hit the sales sooooon!

Electric Dreams

Because I'm not a big fan of the pastel colour trend this season, I turn to the other colour trend - neons whenever I'm putting on my Spring/ Summer ensemble.  I have to admit that neons aren't for the faint hearted. But if you're a little bit more daring, these rave shades like hot pink and acidic yellow can really make heads turn in your direction. Here are some of my favourite pieces from Club 21:

Chinese New Year Goodies

I'm back after 3 days of stuffing myself silly with Chinese New Year goodies, and I hope I'm not too late to wish all our readers a Happy Lunar New Year!

I hope everyone had a good time collecting ang baos and stuffing yourselves with pineapple tarts, yu sheng and bak kwa too because I definitely did, although I'm starting to suffer the side effect of having too much good food (where has my waistline gone?!). Chinese New Year has got to be my favorite holiday for so many reasons besides the food - meeting up with friends and family members, sleeping in, gambling the night away and last but not least, watching everyone deck themselves up in their new Chinese New Year clothes.

My colour of choice - red. I decided to take the traditional route this year by wearing this auspicious colour which symbolises prosperity, wealth and luck for the year ahead. The accessories were all from Amado Gudek. A resin bauble ring with gold foil within (something that I won from Amado Gudek's Facebook competition) and a water dragon-ish hand-molded necklace (coincedentally we're in the year of the water dragon now) which was a gift from Elaine who is the designer of Amado Gudek.

Orange Fever Part II

1. My all time favorite combination is orange with navy. An orange + navy breton stripes assemble always exudes a laid-back, New York City summer vibe.

2. Orange and sea foam green, a very interesting colour combination.

3. Orange and a dose of green makes an outfit stand out.

4. If you're daring, pair a bright colour like purple, with orange to make your outfit pop.
