Meet Chloe

Say hi to Chloe, my too-cool-for-school fashionista! We've known each other for about a year now and her outfits never fail to impress. I convinced her to let me snap a photo of her during our 10 minute break in the middle of class. My apologies for the dinghy lighting and uninspiring background.

Well. It's school after all, a space that is all about structure and citations, an arena for voicing out your opinions which doesn't change things anyway, an information bank stuffed to the brim with wads of notes about all the things that other people want you to learn so that these very people can test and examine you, thereby determining your intelligence and your value as an employee not of a company but as an employee of the state where you will then be sucked into the vicious cycle of capitalism which reproduces itself in the rhetoric of progress and ever increasing growth. Plus, you never determine your own self-worth, you are only worth the value that has been placed on you by the party that is in the position to judge you. This is how miserable life can be and this is precisely why frivolity makes sense. Why not engage in the frivolity of everyday life that is in food and fashion where you at least exercise some control in deciding what you want to eat or wear. No?
