What can I say? Shanghai is surprisingly beautiful, not what I had expected at all. Day trips to Hangzhou and Suzhou were well worth my time and money. I am an absolute junkie for all trinkets and souvenirs. Xin Tian Di- touristy but pretty. I highly recommend a visit to the quaint and gorgeous alleys just behind Tai Kang Lu, home to cosy cafes, restaurants, art galleries and local designer jewellery and clothing shops. Think Haji Lane, only bigger and better. My Mandarin improved, so mission accomplished. If not for the freezing cold (temperatures dipped to -3), I believe I would have been able to catch some Shanghainese fashionistas out and about. Enjoy what little I could capture of Shanghai!

♥,
Fir
